Quite honestly a finer gathering of Fire Pizzers has never been seen. I give all the lads kudos for their devotion round after round to stepping on the throats of any competition. The sleepless nights sitting in front of the 'puter timing strikes are countless. The coordination between guys from all over the globe to launch TOGETHER is pretty impressive. The teamwork is one of the best parts of this "TEAM".
I can no longer call it a "Family" because it has outgrown that nomenclature. It has mutated into what, I'm not exactly sure. I know there are many that would gladly assign some very colorful names for it but those would only come from the haters that will never be able to kill this beast of a team.
At first, I looked at this creation like a nurturing parent, proud of it's creation. Over time I watched it grow and become stronger era after era. Though the members changed, the name carried forth VICTORY after VICTORY but I also noticed that following each victory a little more of the original character was being lost. It is only natural as the bloodline is diluted changes follow. Other orignal core members noticed the same changes and contacted me off game. While none felt malice we were all pretty damned amazed at the effectiveness of this killing machine. Again HAT'S OFF to what I affectionately call the Young Guns though some are not so young. You guys reall have put the server on notice that HORD should never be trifled with.
As I expressed in the post in the introduction section, this gathering started long before we called ourselves "The Horde" Back in the early days the core members shared a few common beliefs. First and foremost was the fact that we really didn't care about the final rankings. We played to enjoy ourselves, expand our contacts & show the kiddies that being followers really isn't the best way to go through life. Remember it's just a GAME. Nobody can get hurt. Give it your all, if you fall down pick yourself back up.
I can't remember one instance in the first few years my core group was in existence that we ever had infighting about sniping each other. We simply were happy that the group as a whole was successful. That was always most important. But... if we weren't the victors of the round we didn't lose any sleep. We came back the next era and tried harder to achieve success. Many times victory could have easily been attained but due to negotiations we actually gave away a couple of rounds to some stand up men of character. Those were the times I liked the best because the vast majority were on board with the prospect of giving away victory. Knowing that the upcoming round would see our victory dance. I used those times to carefully observe members of the group and those that didn't share the common idea "one for all & all for one" simply weren't included on the roster for the future.
We had guys that were complete noobs and had never even been part of a top 5 team but they all shared a common goal of growing together and enjoying victory together.
We never kicked an underachieving team member out in favor of any TOP PLAYER. We either won together or we died together. Again it was yet another learning experience. Any that got frustrated and voiced their discontent were simply not brought back the following round.
It was a slow process but it paid dividends. We grew a FAMILY not a team.
I understand that the climate of the game has changed. In order to be successful you must adapt or be run over.
Well being the old miserable bastid that I am I must say I'm unwilling to compromise my principal any longer.
As much respect as I have for all the current members of HORD (meaning this era and at least the previous 4) I can't roll that way anymore.
I'm too old and tired to sit up countless hours plotting attacks, working out deals trying to be honorable with others who have been nothing but stand up guys from the beginning only to have someone pizz and moan because they aren't getting what they feel is their just rewards.
Have at it!!! Take what you must, play the game as you will. After this round I will no longer fly the flag I started flying more than 4 yrs ago as MDiver.
I will adapt to the role I feel I need to play. I will use the XPND tag because I will be expendable. I will gather only like minded lads that have no issue with playing the game for the comraderie. I will hold no malice towards any and will expect any who join with me to be honorable in all their actions. I will have no expectations of overall victory only the gratification of knowing that I did not compromise my principles.
Oh and in case you need reminding whatever server I land on if you drop your flag to join another you will ALWAYS be considered fair game. I will heed absolutely no warnings of "He is joining us so leave him alone" Just as I won't expect others to give special treatment to any that decide to join me. The move will not be made until we are properly prepared and defended.
I wish nothing but continued success for the "Team" I originally started so many years ago. For those I consider "Family" and you know who you are I will always be at your disposal to provide aid and sanctuary if needed.
Now let the comments fly because I'm sure there will be some very colorful ones to make me sit back and giggle.
Good Luck and Many Conquers to one and all

Personally, I have enjoyed playing as a HORD member.
It has been my drive to play each era with good players, whom I enjoyed playing with, who I knew had my back and would call me if I needed to get on to move or attack regardless of the hour of day.
I quickly lost patience to play with guys who didnt have a complete drive to win, and probably this is outside the original Family values of HORD as espoused by Knuckles.
Having played alongside the likes of Knuckles, Kaustubh and many of the original HORD members, and so many other amazing guys, I count myself lucky to have played with good people who make the game better.
I watch all the biatching and moaning about HORD dominating F4 and F4 being a weak server etc and honestly, it (Want to be allies? Sometimes I like to pretend I am a princess riding a pony..) me to tears.
WHo givez a (Want to be allies? Sometimes I like to pretend I am a princess riding a pony..)>?
I like playing Fantasy. I don't like Earth or Mars. I like Fantasy. I feel no compulsion to go and play in the other "better servers". I like playing with this group of guys on F4, because its fun and they are my mates. Yes I play hard to win, cause I am a competitive person and I would never play any other way.
Recently, Admin has said, HORD need to move on from F4 because we are killing the server. Move to another sever, break up the team or they will change F4 to a 6 tick world.
Personally, I think that's Fcked.
But its your game and if you want to change it, go ahead.
For me, I am done.
I will be retiring after this era, from HORD and BD.
Has been a great priveledge playing with so many people, too many to name so i wont try.
HORD, has been a great experience. Thanks for having me and good luck for the future.
Regards to all.

And rightfully so. The last time something like this happened was when E3 was a 2 ticker and SoLD and FEAR were present. They abused the system and dominated the world for a very long time. I can personally tell you that alot of potential players were turned off from this and essentially wither quit the world or the game. I was driven out of BD for a long time because of them. As for the world dying off, it was only a matter of time before Admin had to intervene. I wish the same could have been done during SoLD/FEAR time, but better late than never. To see the same people winning the era over and over has other people to leave that world and go elsewhere, thus leaving it a big monetary liability to Tacticsoft because they don't generate enough revenue from it. It was either kick you guys out and let the world be refreshed for other players, or have you guys dominate and lose money keeping the world up.

I am wondering ... I didn't talk to Seth yet, but I doubt he was 100% serious about this. Of course, even we admins have our favorite servers and when 1 of it is dominated since eras from the same alliance - its getting boring.
Even for this alliance it must be boring when there is no competition and no challenge anymore.
We have f1 and f4, both as 1 ticker. Maybe the top dogs of each should talk to each other ......

Rediculous. I never said anything about them having to leave F4.
I simply asked them to not be bullies.
I tried to make it more apparent that every era that they go around and demand that everyone give up their crystals, because only HORD is allowed to end with crystals on F4, they chase more and more people away.
And ever era they have done this, the following era is a bit thinner.
They claim that they love F4 or whatever, and then proceed to kill it a little more every era by being bullies. It is one thing to dominate, quite another to be bullies. At least in my opinion.
I already got Skip into a chat and told him I never asked them to leave F4. All I wanted was some honor.
I cannot be the only one running around trying to undo this damage era after era as I watch F4 die. I was appealing to HORD to help me in this effort.
I was hoping for more
EDIT: All in all, HORDE are great players with enormous skill and I have respect for each one of them in that regard. However, sometimes being a great BD player is more than just being brutal number chasers. Sometimes, it pays more to look at one-self as part of a community as well, as opposed to only looking to self-serving interests.

Well it looks like there is some misinformation here.....
First off, yes Seth only suggested HORD leaving as a possible remedy for the lack of members in F4 and never demanded it.... We also discussed possible era parameters that would make things more difficult for us.... but as I posted suggestions on those Seth fell lazy in replying and talking options.... I totally understand his point of view about the Map but I will point the finger right back....
For ages I have led alliances in this game trying to gain some recognition and fame for doing something different....
When I first began leading, I helped band together teams to take over a more powerful team.....but back in that day the admin said they were tired of "battle hugs"
Then I began leading a group called HORD, the best team I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of..... These guys where aggressive, active, and ready to stand up higher than most others. Bound together by strength and admiration of each other.
I decided then, "Ok, the admin doesn't want battle hugs, I will give him a server never be forgotten", which began the first quest to get all the crystals. It was a ton of work by a lot of guys to accomplish this feat... and if u check F4 era 22, you will see we accomplished it.... How does this make us bullies? We fight the way the game was designed... and we do it openly and honestly. I told the entire map we had this goal, and I ENCOURAGED them to take up arms against us, its not our fault the map is filled with so many weaklings that they lost..... We didn't lie or deceive people about this and we sure didn't just change our members around till we had all the best on our team.....
I have always offered up information to tribune reporters.... but did the tribune mention us taking all the crystals? NO!
Then the world reset, did the Admin even Acknowledge in his reset message that we accomplished a record? NO, NO, NO he didnt
We could have played Battle hugs and had the entire map sit in "peace" for 1000 ticks and Admin Seth would have treated us no differently and made no mention of us still....
What is it we should have done Seth? When we beat our best competition at tick 350... should we have just had peace terms for the next 2000 ticks? Of course not, you wouldn't be happy with that either.....
So, I am here to ask you Seth, in front of all of BD.... what is the point in listening to you? Every time I have met the request you put forth, I feel like you just brush us off even more... and here it is again....
You asked me to help change F4, I presented Ideas and you don't even reply.... then send me "rolling eyes" when you hear these words have reached one of F4's most Active and powerful players of the last eras.... Elvis...
You think you can just threaten to turn our favorite map into a 6 ticker, with the only option you ever acknowledge as a viable solution is moving... and expect everyone to not talk about it.....
It feels as if the only solution that would make you happy is to see us return, boost a lot, then lose.... maybe that would make u happy for once and I bet you would write something about that....
Because of what said to be by the admin, the break in communication after the initiation, and the past of what I feel is a lazy, lack of respect for the people providing you a paycheck..... I want to move these guys to a different world, where they won't feel like the admin shuns them for playing the game well....
I hope there is an admin in another world who looks forward to us joining their world and the tokens we will bring.... Sth obviously doesn't care anywhere near as much as his messages makes it out that he does.... at least from my perspective....
Contrary to What Seth has said "All I wanted was some honor."
that is so back handed....go ask my members and many of the alliances I have killed in battle... you will find I do not back stab, I do not break Naps (i make them short) and I work diligently to make sure our team always treats others with respect.... sure they might not like it when I tell them the truth that before the era ends we are coming for your crystal. You can fight us now, u can band together and fight us later.... but we are coming and we always do.... there is no lack of honor for accomplishing the goals you set for yourself.... If anyone is without Honor, its Admin Seth.... for not following through on the words he put forth.... Long live HORD and death to Battle Hugs...

I wouldnt call it misinformation. Perhaps misunderstanding. This is a veritable wall of text, so I will reply as I can.
When I suggested "HORD" take a break from F4, I was trying to word it in a way as to make it more apparent that I was asking what the harm would be in some friendly competition? I believe I even said something to that effect, but hard to tell without going back and looking at chat history.
Why not let "HORD" take a break per se, and become opposing entities for an era? Why not pit yourselves against eachother, instead of repeatedly steamrolling everyone else? Youve proven that you can murder F4. What about eachother?
I fear that perhaps I was misunderstood. Yes, I saw some suggestions. I wouldn't say I was lazy in replying so much as completely indecisive about how to proceed. Also, it is a mitigating factor that other servers and resets served to soak up alot of my attention at that time, as well as the Tribune stuff. That part is my bad completely and I apologize for it.
Not wanting battlehugs: This goes back to my suggestion of breaking the team up for an era or something. Reason being, HORD in itself is a beast. HORD with a sub (or whatever you want to call it) is even harder. When one sub does half the work and in the end just hands relics over to the "main"...well its anti climactic and goes back to chasing everyone else off.
As far as the "map being filled with weaklings"...again. It isnt. It just so happens that all the best players are on the same team in F4. And yes, this goes back to being bullies. You guys already know you re the best players in E4. And the "rest of the map being filled with weaklings" is partially attributed to behaviors such as sending threatening messages to anyone on F4 who still has crystals, telling them to surrender them or be obliterated, because "only HORD will finish F4 with crystals".
Thats just it mate. Yes, you have given me era after era of great battles. Of this I have no qualm and no argument. I thank you for that. What is the issue here is not you and what this means for you guys. It is about what it means for the whole. For everyone else.
You see yourselves as the top dogs, and you are right as far as F4 is concerned. In this respect, you have come to love working together. Part of the love your proclaim is for the server itself.
It is THAT which I am trying to appeal to, and sometimes it feels like beating one's head against a wall. I don't want to do something that is going to benefit HORD. This is why I have been perceived as being lazy in replying to your suggestions. Because I felt like you were completely missing my point and it was going to be next to impossible to find middle ground.
I dont want to do things that are going to make it more fun for the HORD as an entity. I do not want to entertain you simply for sake of sparing everyone else being completely obliterated by you. In the eyes of causality, if I did so, it could be easily argued that I did nothing more than make it easier for you to meet the same end, only serving to push your numbers higher.
No. I am appealing to you, right here in front of all of BD.
You guys have proven yourselves the kings of F4. This will be the 6th straight era you have won there, and over the course of the last 3, you've chased pretty much anyone else off of the server that thought they stood a chance. Bravo. This is worth mentioning in the Annals of BD should anyone ever choose to write them.
However, over the last couple of eras, you guys have gone a step further. You've gone past simply winning, but have taken domination to a new level. I am sorry that I call it bullying, but honestly, it is kinda right on the mark because you guys have fallen away from your sense of community and gone toward domination for the pure sake of domination, and at the expense of everyone else on F4.
I have been appealed to and appealed to by player after player whom has been sent these letters informing them that they are not allowed to end the era with crystals. It pained me, because you aren't doing anything against the rules, but if I look at it from this other player's perspective, being completely helpless to stop any of it and sacrificing what little benefit YOUR hard work gave to you just to watch your name slip from the ranks...Well, it is only common sense to assume that player will not be returning next era. Over the course of the era, this turns into more and more players, and if you look around at F4, its pretty hard to ignore the results. So, even if I do spice it up with more garrisons or relics or anything else, I am not doing anyone any good except HORDE. No one else will ultimately see any benefit and everyone knows it.
Now PLEASE do not misunderstand me. Skip, I respect you greatly. I respect all of you and I do NOT want you to leave F4!
But right here in front of BD and everyone else, I will ask you the same question I tried to ask you in person.
What is wrong with a little friendly competition? Look at the talent you have between ELDR and HORD! You guys are unstoppable together. You have proven it again and again. Why not, for the sake of the server you claim to love, break apart into a few teams next era? Why not compete against eachother in the name of good fun and breathing new life into the server you have laid claim to?
Is this really so much to ask?
In my opinion, it would make for a great era. One I would love to watch!
EDIT: Regarding what goes into the Tribune. I do not write the stories. If you are unhappy with the content of the F4 article, you can send your feedback to Kenny (lolowut) on this forum.

Thank you Seth for your apologies and your compliments to my teammates and "Horde Family". I cannot speak enough about the skill, determination and community we have within our team. Knuckle and his gang are a real life band of brothers that I watch on a distant fringe with a grin. Horde grew in its strength because of it's ideals and beliefs in Honor. As many teams that hate us for our dominance, I ask, how many of teams have ever been Betrayed by us? How many have had their members taken from them in the name of score? How many Bootlickers have we let achieve token glory? How many times do we get banned for farming? For multis? How often do we Lie about our aspirations and intentions? I know in the times I held the reigns, it has been low and believe whole heatedly this was this case when I was not. I believe in many ways we are a beacon for what alliances should be in BD. Built FIRST in community and joy of playing with your friends and then grew into a dominant force which has yet to be slowed. We don't make back hand deals for relics and crystals to win, we don't have legions of subs at our control , we don't plant members in other alliance to back stab them when it suites us.... Ask your selves, how many time have u seen these dirty maneuvers in other worlds, or been the victim of it yourself? We stand strong against such things and hope the rest of BD will abandon such tactics. Win or die on the battlefield.... be honest. Because everyone stays on the team for friendship first and score second, our rosters are always grow and finally reached a number too strong for the bounds of a 10 man team.... ELDR is not Sub of ours and its disrespectful to call them such. They are the same brother as us and will be part of this rounds final glory to an extent others just don't realize yet but, you will when its done. .... with that being said, I understand your problem. In our pursuit of this great Family/team of friendship and dominance we have left F4 cold for many others..... As you have said, with the culmination of this round the Horde ownership of F4 is unquestioned. I believe you are correct in the need for some changes in F4 to revitalize it. I will continue to offer suggestions and work with you to the best extent. I ask that anyone interested in Fantasy maps get your ideas out there about ways to attract new members.... Together we can make this map fun for all Cheer to F4, Never a 6 ticker! Sir Skipwith
