Can humans really do something that is inhuman? We can certainly push our limits, but do we have the power to break them?

Quote: And generally speaking i've not heard of people talking about immortality as their purpose in life there are ppl, after getting the highest position, spent their entire time and money to search for a way to gain immortality. The number of ppl chasing immortality are actually more than u think.

The problem that if you replace a transfer a Human brain to a computer or digital form how do you know that you aren't killing the person in the process then giving this impostor Machine all of this persons memories. The Hardest part of this is defining conscience, since in the future we will develop Robots that can think and fell like humans can, does this mean they feel the same conscience as we do, does this mean they can see the same colors the same as us or feel the same pain and joy we do. This same problem can come from Transferring humans into an immortal form since it is unclear if you are killing them in the process of making their memories and personality immortal.
This event your talking about in 2045 is called the singularity when Flesh and computer chips become one.

If I just transferred my "brain" into a computer and thus began my "computer life", I would throw away most of mankind's pleasures, which are eating, sleeping, and several other pleasures that I don't know if I should say (if u know wat I mean)... Plus, there will be chances that if there were some dark organization to hack the computer, they can take complete control over u...
not to mention, I don't like to be immortal, life would be way too boring... Lolis is what you were meaning. But you can get infinite lolis online

Though it may be possible for you to transfer your brain into a computer, your thoughts, emotions and such, I don't believe it is possible for one to transfer a conscience, or soul (if you will) into a computer. Your conscience is what defines you, is what makes you who you are, it is not something tangible, or something you can transfer, it's something you need to be human, or alive, in a sense. It is, essentially, what defines you to be...you and give you a state of being. That's my take on it anyway.

Try to read the whole thing I believe you guys have misinterpreted the idea. In the future computers will eventually become more and more user interface friendly, and more compatible with everyday life. Eventually computers will be a chip in your brain, just look at google glass as an example of this happening. With computers still becoming even more powerful after that has happened we will slowly become more machine like without realizing it and in doing so will expand our life expectancy to the hundreds. But like I said, machine and man will be integrated through computer technology and the internet. Think about and explain to me this: Why the hell wouldn't we do this? The ideas of cellphones alone proves that we are becoming more integrated with technology, rationally this is the path we are going on.
