Gaelic does mean irish-celtic lol, the gaels in scotland originated from Antrim in ireland back when Dal Raida was a province of ireland, the celtic tribes that havnt originated in ireland are the welsh, the manx(isle of man) and the cornish tribe whos name i can no longer remember, anyway long story short gaelic=irish-celtic lol

Also wrong. Just please. Research and try to understand the basic concepts, then the details. You'll learn alot more that way.

Protip to get you started: Celtic culture is widely believed by historians to have originated in continental europe.

But none of that is relevant. The bottom line is Gaelic isn't a word that means irish-celtic.

you say wrong yet do not have any facts to dispute what i have said, Gaelic does mean irish-celtic, celts did originate in europe but i never said they didnt, i am referring to ireland and britan in my statement, i could also include gaul and have the 6 celtic nations if you want but then i may as well detail the entire celtic history when i am at it. If you are reffering to Scots Gael they are a subset of the Gaelic irish province of dal raida, modern scotland is an amalgamation of the picts and the dal raidians along with other tribes(the picts unfortunatly lost all of their language/culture) Gaelic refers to the Celts from ireland and the reason there are scot gaels is because they migrated from antrim within ireland, it is a historical fact, sorry to burst your bubble ;}~

Once again, most of what you are saying is not in any way relevant to the original point I brought up. Not once have I mentioned scotland, or in fact any other nation.

If you want to discuss the cultural history of the british isles, PM me. But all I am saying is that Gaelic is not a word that means irish-celtic, and it never has meant that. If you show me some evidence that it does, then I'll apologise for falsely correcting you. But rambling on about historical tribes really isn't in context with any of this.
