spam and then sending your army one tick after is the safest way to capture a relic as you will know exactly what the relic has also make sure your alliance members who are attacking the relic are online in case you have to turn if the army present is too strong

Usually, a spam is used when your squads are not mixed (range and armor together). This means that instead of having 10 mixed squads of tanks(each squad having 7 range units and 3 armor ones), you'll have 7 range and 3 armor squads. The point in that is that you are able to work out the units in the battle simulator once the spam hits, and then simply call back the excess armor squads. This way, no armor units survive the fight, and the experience is divided amongst the range units. This is probably one of the most efficient ways, if not the most efficient, to gain experience (experience is considered by many a key factor in winning battles, especially in wars, as it practically "upgrades" your units with more HP, damage and range). However, having to rebuild your armor units after every big fight is costly like hell.

Preferably it would be best to capture a relic with twice the number of units the Admin has so that you are sure to get it. You can't do this alone so you need help from your alliance. Also it's recommended that you send a spam 1 ETA ahead of your attacking squad. Another tip which people often miss out is doing a satellite scan over the relic to ensure if units from other alliances are attacking the same relic.
